The director of the central Lamezia Terme Post Office, Vittoria Menniti, will be awarded the “Stars of Merit” award, awarded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.
The National Commission established for the occasion, for the fifteenth consecutive year, has decided to award the employees of the Poste Italiane Group 71 Stars of Merit, throughout the national territory, representing the majority of professional roles.
While awaiting the formal award by the Prefecture of Catanzaro for merits “of expertise, industriousness and good moral conduct”, scheduled for May 1st, director Menniti received a certificate of esteem and recognition from the company.
«I have been working at Poste Italiane for 40 years now – recalls the director of the post office in central Lamezia Terme – having started very early, at the age of 21, 20 of which were spent as a counter clerk, and subsequently moving on to different roles to reach that as Director, which still keeps me busy today. It was growing up in a company – he continues – that has evolved from year to year to keep up with the history of our country, has invested a lot to guarantee its presence in the territory and bring that social contribution for which it has always distinguished itself. An evolution that I had the honor of experiencing as a protagonist.” «My daily contribution – explains the director – has been to work with the evangelical principles on which I nourish myself: to approach clients and colleagues in a patient, loving and humble way. During the pandemic – concludes the Poste Italiane employee – we really made the difference, always guaranteeing service to people, who, when they entered the office, were eager for a simple smile as a gesture of comfort”
The “Stars of Merit for Work” are granted every year to workers of public and private companies, with a minimum age of 50 and continuous working seniority of at least 25. 50% is reserved for those who have started their business from the lowest contractual levels and have distinguished themselves for their human and professional contribution.
