The IVC class of the primary school of the II Circolo Didattico and the IVBg of the ITS Nervi Galilei of Altamura received the prizes of the provincial phase of the fifth edition of the competition announced by Fidas Nazionale with the aim of introducing young students to the world of blood donation and blood components.
The winning classes of the provincial prizes of the fifth edition of the competition are both from Altamura “At the School of Gift”, organized by Fidas Nazionale with the aim of introducing young students to the world of blood donation and blood components. The awards were presented on the morning of Monday 29 April 2024 by the president of Fidas Pugliese Donatori Sangue Odv Corrado Camporeale and the president of the Fpds section of Altamura Pasquale Esposito.
The commission appointed by Fidas Pugliese thus awarded, for the Primary section, the comic “Orava and Osoreneg” created by the children of the IVC class of the primary school of II Altamura Educational Club and, for the Secondary section, the communication campaign, complete with claims, posters, posters and video spots, created by the boys of the IVBg ofITS Nervi Galilei of Altamura.
President Camporeale delivered, in two separate moments, the prize of 200 euros for the purchase of teaching materials to the school director Paola Flora and to the reference teacher Angela Lorusso of the II Circolo Didattico and to the school director Antonella Sarpi, to the referring teachers of the project Irene Buttiglione and Carmen Schiavone and to the collaborating teachers of the school management Angelo Michele Di Donna and Nicola Fratusco of the ITS Nervi – Galilei.
The winning works in the provincial phase will be awarded with a plaque of merit during the opening ceremony of the 62nd Fidas National Congress which will take place on May 17, 2024 in Sanremo. They will also compete for the awarding of the national prizes of the three sections who will receive a voucher of 500 euros each for the purchase of teaching material.
“A Scuola di Dono, a competition announced and promoted by Fidas Nazionale, is an opportunity for all federated members to come into contact with the scholastic world – commented the president of Fidas Pugliese, Camporeale – Talking to young people, raising their awareness on the topic, exploring their feelings and thoughts on the matter is an opportunity to spread, once again, a very important message: donating blood to help those who need it most and to allow the Health System to be able always count on your own self-sufficiency”.
