The municipal administrationfollowing the approval of the management report by the municipal council, has published the tender for the assignment to a single qualified entity of the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the roads, asphalting, ready availability, the anti-icing treatment service, preventive salting and snow clearing, the adaptation and reconstruction of the vertical and horizontal signs. The objective of the procedure is to have a unified direction in the management of these services linked to the over 300 kilometers of Varese road network. The maximum amount is over 16 million euros, including the options provided for in the tender notice.
With this announcement we are aiming for one greater efficiency and organization. The administration will remain responsible for strategic planning and identification of intervention priorities, verification of performance, the quality of services offered and monitoring of results. The framework agreement therefore concerns road maintenance works which include for example the asphalting of roads and pavements, all mobility support interventions including ordinary maintenance and the adaptation of horizontal and vertical signs. In addition to the road network management services and the anti-icing and snow clearing service on the entire city road network. The contractual duration of the works and services of the framework agreement will be until 31 October 2027. Offers can be submitted by 12.00 on 28 May 2024.
This tender will also be subject to the provisions of the agreement signed between the Municipality and the Financial Police to ensure the legality, transparency and efficiency of the procedure.
