He was throwing a tantrum because he didn’t want to ski and his mother left him alone, locked in the car. Not worrying about the low temperatures and the tender age of their son, only 4 years old. It happened in Valsugana, in Trentino. The woman was tracked down and reported for child abandonment to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trento by the Carabinieri of Castello Tesino.

The report came from an employee of a ski lift in the area, who had noticed a child crying desperately locked in a car parked near the ski slopes. After attempting to open the door of the car, which was closed, the police tried to contact the mother, a forty-year-old from the Czech Republic, through various unanswered cell phone calls and messages broadcast over the loudspeakers of the ascent.

The woman, who arrived after an hour and a half still with her skis on her feet and snowshoes in her hands, apparently tried to justify herself by saying that she had left the child alone in the car because she didn’t want to ski and that she had entrusted her with the task of supervising the child to his 13 year old brother, who in the meantime had also gone skiing. She was then reported for child abandonment.
