Tent Theater without heating, Haber’s show in the cold and the anger of the spectators

The Tenda theater like an “igloo”. Without heating on one of the coldest evenings of this winter, during a show that had attracted a large audience. The inconveniences occurred yesterday, December 29, when Giovanni Veronesi and Alessandro Haber’s show “Medetti amici” was staged. But something isn’t working. “The temperature – say some spectators – was very low”.

And while the musicians entered the theater with scarves and heavy jackets, the spectators went in search of blankets and throws (many recovered from the car) to protect themselves from the cold. A nightmarish night, during which, however, the artists did not hold back – out of respect for the paying public – and the spectators honored the commitment of Haber, Veronesi and the musicians by resisting until the end of the show. However, there was no shortage of digs from the artists towards the organisation. And a few hours after the event, posts of outrage began to appear on social media. Because many say that they paid handsomely for the ticket (the expected cost was starting from 30 euros), but that they found no one at the entrance to check or to whom they could complain given the conditions of the theater.

This morning an apology from the Guido d’Arezzo Foundation, promoter of the event and manager of the structure. “The Guido d’Arezzo Foundation expresses its deepest regret for the conditions in which the public had to attend the show at the Teatro Tenda yesterday evening, due to a fault in the structure’s heating system.
For its part, the Foundation promptly alerted the maintenance services appointed by the Municipality at 5.57 pm; However, despite repeated attempts to intervene, we were informed that it was not possible to repair the fault.”
