In view of the end-of-year concert scheduled for December 31st in Piazza Pirro Marconi, the local police have placed a series of temporary measures to regulate traffic and guarantee the safety of residents and spectators. From 7 am parking will be prohibited with removal in Piazza Pirro Marconi, where from 9 pm a traffic ban for all vehicles will also come into force.

In Viale della Vittoria, from 2pm parking will be prohibited on both sides and from 9pm the stretch between the Coniglio curve and Piazza Marconi will be closed to traffic. At the same time, near the former fire station, transit towards Piazza Marconi will be prohibited, with the exception of residents and vehicles transporting people with disabilities.

In Via Francesco Crispi, from 9pm, transit towards Piazza Marconi will be prohibited both at the Hotel della Valle and at the Crispi-Sturzo intersection. In Via delle Torri, from 2pm the ban on parking will come into force with removal and from 9pm the ban on transit in the stretch between the crossroads of the Torri and Piazza Marconi, with the exception of the organisation’s authorized vehicles.

In via Empedocle, from 9pm, transit towards Piazza Marconi at the Piedigrotta tunnel will be prohibited, with an exception for residents and vehicles transporting people with disabilities. In via Acrone, from 2pm parking will be prohibited with removal in the stretch between via Esseneto and via Callicratide up to Piazza Marconi, while from 9pm the transit ban will come into effect, permitted only to those who have to reach the railway station car park.

In Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, from 9pm traffic will be prohibited in the direction of Piazza Marconi near the Carabinieri barracks, with the possibility of turning right onto Via Gioeni. In Piazza Aldo Moro, from 2pm parking will be prohibited in the stretch between the Prefecture and the Unicredit bank, while from 9pm it will be closed to traffic with barriers at the Prefecture and in the lateral sections.

During the event, access will be permitted to public service vehicles, urban and extra-urban buses, law enforcement agencies, emergency and fire-fighting vehicles, as well as the organisation’s authorized vehicles. The parking areas identified for the public are Piazzale Rosselli, the multi-storey car park in Via Empedocle, Via Gramsci, the square of the Bonamorone cemetery, Piazzale Ugo La Malfa and Via Manzoni, in the stadium area.
