The spokesperson of the «Suspended Families» wins the Corriere Milano poll with 31.2% of the preferences. Also on the podium were Giulia Pastore and the journalist Giangiacomo Schiavi
The Milanese of 2025 is Filippo Borsellino, spokesperson for the “suspended families” – the buyers of apartments under construction blocked by judicial investigations: he won by a landslide the survey launched among readers by the Corriere Milano editorial team to elect the personality who has most marked the city in the year just ended. An overwhelming affirmation for Borsellino, chosen by almost 28 thousand readers with 31.2 percent of the preferences, out of a total of approximately 90 thousand voters.
Voting ended on December 31st. Behind Borsellino comes Giulia Pastore, with 22.2 percent of the votes. She was the first woman to win the Ubu Prize twice, the most important Italian recognition in the world of theater for her technical-artistic work. Pastore garners a broad consensus among the readers of the Corriere who are most attentive to culture (there were over 19 thousand preferences), confirming the importance of theater and artistic research in the city panorama.
On the third step of the podium, the journalist Giangiacomo Schiaviwith 15.2 percent: in his column «We citizens» on the Courier Milanalso gives voice to those who denounce injustices in our city. Thanks to his column, Mr. Meneghello, a ninety-year-old evicted with a dependent disabled child, has found a new home. The complaint about the sunflowers torn from the pitch in Via Dezza sparked a great reaction among the Milanese.
