The charge of 8 thousand. There were many tickets sold for the debut day of Space Riccione, the new club that opened in Riccione after the golden years and having written the history of fun in Ibiza. The appeal of the event, which brought Carl Cox, one of the world’s kings of DJs, to the console, was international in scope: given that the managers speak of attendance from over 30 countries from all over Europe and beyond. The show lived up to expectations: it was an opening party of the highest level, in a location totally outside the standard we are used to in these latitudes.

President Indino: “Splendid place, the Riviera at the center of Europe”

There were numerous VIPs at the Space premiere, among the guests also Gianni Indino, president of Silb Fipe Confcommercio, who expressed words of great praise towards the entrepreneurs who have decided to invest in Riccione. “Space is a place that immediately associated itself with Silb Fipe Confcommercio: I couldn’t miss its debut, congratulations, the place is splendid. Well done everyone, let’s continue like this: the territory is reborn with the offer of our clubs, Cocoricò, Peter Pan, Villa delle Rose, Biblos, Altro Mondo, Baia and many others. I think that no other area in Italy and Europe can boast such a concentration of top-level nightclubs in so few square kilometres, we make the most of these opportunities to relaunch our tourist offer also with regards to the world of night entertainment”.

How Space presented itself

A large central Arena, an imposing stage equipped with a LED wall of almost 200 square metres, a laser and light system worthy of a large production, a large, extremely well-kept VIP area, the new Woodland dancefloor surrounded by greenery: these are the characteristics of Space Riccione, which inevitably links it to the clubs of Miami, Mykonos or Ibiza. The thing that struck us most was the international atmosphere of the event, felt from the first notes of Anna Tur, a talented Italian deejay who had the honor of officially opening this new story.

Super-show by Carl Cox

The fast-paced and highly appreciated by the entire audience already in a frenzy, in order, of Armonica, Shimza, and Andrea Oliva led to the highlight of the event: Dixon with his proverbial Berlin-style techno and above all Carl’s super-show Cox, who in continuity with the closing party of Space Ibiza in 2016, did not want to miss this rebirth. Before his show, there was an emotional introduction to the tune of Hans Zimmer culminating in a fireworks display. Next, the microphone was taken by the founder Pepe Rosello, creator of Space Ibiza 30 years ago, unmissable at this Opening, who once again affirmed the values that have made the Space brand immortal: “respect, tolerance, love for music, a sense of family”.

From Garrix to Guetta, the parterre

From that moment on, Big Carl with his charisma literally hypnotized the entire audience present, very numerous at that point, until 2am. At the end, during the slow outflow, in the eyes of those leaving the venue there was a clear feeling of having witnessed “a new beginning”. But it is only a goodbye, given the scope of the next guests on the agenda: among others, Martin Garrix will take to the console, the only Italian date, on the occasion of the Notte Rosa; David Guetta next August 4; Luciano on June 29; Tale of Us on August 3rd.
