Unibet Rose Rockets, the technical structure expands: Martijn Budding and Roger Hammond new sporting directors

The Unibet Rose Rockets has implemented a CycleMarket very relevant in view of the 2026 season. Experienced and already successful runners have arrived as Dylan Groenewegen, Victor Lafay e Wout Poels, which will certainly contribute to increasing the weight of the Franco-Dutch team in high-level competitions. Professional training directed by Bas Tietema e Josse Wester, which for this season has the declared objective of being first invited and then protagonist in the Tour de France, is proceeding hand in hand with the expansion of its technical structure, which in recent weeks had already welcomed none other than Marcel Kittel as an “expert for sprints”.

The group of sports directors will also see the presence of a coach who is now experienced as Roger Hammond. The Briton, now 51 years old, has in the past led the riders of Dimension Data, Bahrain Victorious, Ineos Grenadiers and, lastly, Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe, and will certainly be able to contribute his experience to the technical management of the Unibet Rose Rockets. Hammond will find himself a “freshman” as a colleague, given that he joins the team, with the same qualification, too Martijn Budding.

The 30-year-old Dutchman has just declared his racing career over due to health problems, after three seasons wearing the jersey of Tietema and Wester’s team. However, there is the possibility for him to remain in the environment, thanks to the role for which he has been designated within the technical frameworks of Unibet Rose Rockets. Budding will in fact be part of the group that will dedicate itself to the preparation of sprinters, together with the aforementioned Kittel.
