About a hundred competitors (there were 112 registered) took part near the Mauro Ferrari athletics stadium in Prato, in the third and final round of the Supercross Valbisenzio, established for the first time and met with excellent participation success. The Open amateur race in the second heat of the 4 scheduled was exciting, with the duel between Nicola Parenti and Alessandro Nannini lasting until the end so much so that at the finish line there was a sprint finish with Parenti ahead of his opponent from Prato by one second. In the other three heats, the amateur cyclist Simone Pioli prevailed in the first, the student Pietro Calestani in the third, while in the very young heat, Giulio Vannucci established himself.
