Volunteers, workers and emergency workers capable of recognizing the signs and effects of violence on women and capable of providing adequate responses to victims. This is the objective of the initiative of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which has assigned 100 thousand euros for a project Anpas Emilia-Romagna in collaboration with Federation of Mercies of Emilia-Romagna e Italian Red Cross Emilia-Romagna regional committee to support courses for adequate training on the topic of gender violence intended for volunteers, workers who provide emergency emergency services and ordinary medical transport.

The provision, approved by the Regional Council, pursues the aim of recognizing the phenomenon of gender violence, improving the reception of women victims of violence and correctly directing them to local services. The project involves collaboration with the anti-violence centers of Emilia-Romagna, with which the topics to be covered and the methods of carrying out the courses were shared, according to a quarterly planning of activities, which includes both in-person and online training. The initiative is also in line with the regional plan against gender violence, which recognizes the importance of supporting continuous and widespread professional training, aimed at all operators of general support services, to encourage the recognition of signs and the effects of gender violence and provide appropriate responses to victims. The training in the area and the large audience of recipients, including employees and volunteers of the regional health rescue, to whom the initiative is aimed, contribute to creating that integrated approach to the management of the phenomenon at the basis of the regional network to combat the violence of genre, made up of a complex plurality of skills and experiences.
