Like Ferragni, Damato is under investigation for complicity in aggravated fraud in the investigation into the Balocco Pink Christmas pandoros

Now it’s official: Fabio Maria Damato is outside the Ferragni group. The “left and right arm” of Chiara Ferragnias the influencer herself defined him, is therefore leaving the scene and will no longer be the general director of the Sisterhood, the digital entrepreneur’s safe, which includes Fenice and TBC Crew.

The two companies, with an official note anticipated a few hours ago by The Corriere della Sera, put down on paper what for many insiders was an obligatory path for the renewal of the group, i.e. Damato’s farewell. Before they were just rumours, however very serious, now there is a date which marks the timing of the end of a professional and private relationship which until the Balocco case seemed unbreakable: “Effective June 16, 2024, Fabio Maria Damato will cease as general manager and advisor of both companies to pursue other professional opportunities. The change is part of a corporate renewal process”, reads the press release.

The figure of Damato was central in the management of the company, “he entered the operating companies with leading roles, second only to the delegations of the owner entrepreneur”, as he recalls Courier. The manager, a graduate in economics from Bocconi, a former fashion journalist, has taken on an increasingly heavy operational role since 2017, so much so as to become general director of both Fenice, the licensee of the Chiara Ferragni brands which “in 2022, the last available financial statement, had achieved 15.6 million in revenue with 3.4 million in profit”, and by TBC Crew, the talent agency that manages “blogs and e-commerce and in 2022 had a turnover of 14.5 million with 5.1 million in profit”. The bond between the two seemed very solid but first the Pandoro Gate and the other investigations hit the companies like a tsunami, later reverberating on their friendship too.

Just like Ferragni, Damato is under investigation for complicity in aggravated fraud in the investigation into the Balocco Pink Christmas pandoros made in collaboration with the Fossano confectionery company and fate seemed somehow sealed. Her role in the company will be taken by Marina Di Guardo: the influencer’s mother climbs onto the bridge as general director of Sisterhood, “giving her the same management powers that Damato had before her”, observes the Corriere. “Not a consensual exit but liquidation and agreement between the parties”, adds the journalist Gabriele Parpiglia, who was the first to speak of a liquidation request by Damato for 4 million euros. In a few months we will understand what impact the choice to put Di Guardo at the top will have on both the accounts and the image of the Ferragni brand.
