In 2025, Opel has introduced some new features including the Mokka GSE, a high-performance version of the electric B-SUV which can count on 281 HP. We also got to know the new Opel Frontera and the Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept up close. For the 2026 there are some interesting ones coming novelty and, indeed, we will start as early as January with a very important presentation. So, what can we expect from Opel in the new year? Here’s what’s coming, based on what we know today.

OPEL ASTRA RESTYLING
On January 9th at the Brussels Motor Show, Opel will present the new Astra restyling of which some small details have already been shared. What will change above all is the front which has been redesigned and which will present the most recent interpretation of theOpel Visor where we find the illuminated logo of the car manufacturer in the centre. There will be tweaks to the bumpers, new colors and further designs for the alloy wheels. New features will also arrive for the interior. i. will also be available as standard on the entry level version Intelli-Seat seats specially developed by Opel.
We can also imagine the arrival of an update to the infotainment system. The engine range should remain unchanged. However, Opel has made it known that there will be something new regarding the electric model, Opel Astra Electric. In particular, a new one will arrive 58 kWh battery capable of allowing autonomy up to 454 km. Furthermore, support for tecnologia V2L (Vehicle to Load). Obviously, the restyling innovations will also extend to the station wagon version of the Opel Astra.
NEW OPEL CORSA
The new generation should arrive between 2026 and 2027 but certainly the next year we will know much more. According to information leaked so far, the new Opel Cosa will be based on the platform STLA Small of the Stellantis Group. It should be the second model of the Group after the new Peugeot 208 to benefit from it. According to some rumours, the new model should grow slightly in size compared to the current one, with a look that should have references to the Opel Experimental concept car, especially at the front level with a new full-width light signature and thin headlights. One should debut as well new interpretation of the Opel Vizor.
It will certainly be electric but it is likely that the new generation of Opel Corsa could also be offered with hybrid engines. In the coming months we will have to start knowing much more.
