Ma Fiat is already thinking about the future generation whose development could begin by the end of next year. Once again the design of the model will be preserved so there will be no revolution as the city car will remain true to itself. Unlike the current generation, however, there should immediately be space alongside the electric version for the hybrid.
This is without prejudice to any changes caused by emissions regulations set by the European Union. In fact, Stellantis has already made it known that if things remain like this, in a few years it may no longer be convenient to produce and sell internal combustion cars in Europe despite the recent opening on the stop to internal combustion cars in 2035 which, however, according to the CEO Antonio Filosa it is still not enough to put things right and ensure that his company still invests in our continent in the future.

This is a very interesting and original idea which provides us with a first preview of what could be the evolution of the car which, we repeat, will not distort its essence and will be immediately recognizable as a 500 even with this new generation.
Obviously the changes will not be limited to the design but also to the platform and engines. For the electric versions there should be interesting updates with more power and greater autonomy, two things that are probably a little missing from the current version of the city car produced in Mirafiori.
