A collection of tragic stories that propose to reflect on some complex issues of our time, building one’s own path through a plurality of narrative genres. This is The Pessimism of the Godsthe work that will be presented at the Teatro Tempio (Viale Caduti in Guerra, 192 in Modena) on July 3rd at 9.00 pm.

The protagonists of the seven stories are the atypical and postmodern alter egos of some of the main Greco-Roman deities, constantly searching for a meaning that goes beyond the daily repetition of habits and transcends the productive superstructure of society. Their stories are set in a contemporaneity with indefinite contours and tell of the destiny of the planet and of the species, of the silent battle of women, of the awakening of eros, of the role of divinity in an era of total disillusionment.

Author Sara Cucciniello, originally from Modena, will talk with Gabriele Sorrentino, writer and vice-president of the Associazione I Semi Neri, which promotes the initiative in collaboration with the Associazione Tempio Modena. During the interview, some moments of immersive reading curated by the VivaVerba project. The evening is free to enter and will begin at 8:30 pm with a small welcome aperitif, to then end with a toast offered by Cantina Fiorini.
