In Great Britain the cups were made with bricks, weigh over two kilograms

At Silverstone there will be a special surprise at the end of the race. The winner and the other two pilots who will go on the podium will receive unique trophies. For the first time, in fact, the F1 will use cups entirely made of Lego, an initiative that falls within the collaboration with the Danish company. The partnership had been celebrated in Miami with the single -seater parade made of bricks, Verstappen and Norris had fun a lot.

The trophies were created for 75 years of the F1 which was born right here, on this track, in 1950. Those who arrive first in the Silverstone GP will bring home a cup of over 2 kg made of 2,717 parts of Lego with golden details, a work by Samuel Liltorp Johnson who took 210 hours to make it: inspired the traditional Silverstone cup commissioned by the Royal Automobil Club.

For the second and the third classified, the design resumes red and blue tones. “This is the demonstration that you can do anything with the bricks and with a little creativity” explains Julia Goldin, head of the Lego marketing. Stuart Pringle, CEO of the Silverstone track: “In 75 years there have been many magical celebrations here, this too will be unique”.
