It seems to me a film full of hope, rather than explicitly comic. I believe that one of the things I love for many James films is that they are a real injection of hope. They remind you that the reason why people love comics is because they teach us that superheroes are not the only superheroes. They are not the only ones who have important powers in these worlds. They remind us of the importance of courage, tenacity and interest in mutual well -being. What it means to be at the service of the common good. And I think that at this moment we could really need an injection of hope. Many of these films, you know, Batman’s films [Christopher] Nolan were a very specific representation of these comics in a precise moment. And I believe that part of the reason they were so successful both because they seemed exactly what we needed. And therefore the hope is that this version is the superman we need now.
The films that will follow Superman at the moment have not announced James Gunn to the direction, so it is possible that he will subsequently entrust the task to third parties or re -evaluate his role. In the meantime Superman is coming to the cinema from 9 July 2025.
