A book to tell 20 years of Osimano basketball: 9 associations involved

OSIMO – Nine companies that made the history of Osimana basketball told in the volume “Osimo and the 2,000 basketball” by Giovanni Manitta. The book, published in the editorial series of the Notebooks of the Regional Council, represents the natural continuity of the first volume that the author had specifically dedicated to the fifty years of history of Robur Basket.

The presentation took place at the conference room of the cloister of San Francesco di Osimo on the initiative of the President of the Regional Council Dino Latini. “The history of Osimano basketball is unique – Latini highlighted – a very rooted sport that also manages to promote other sectors and positively affect the life of the city community”.

Evaluation also confirmed by the author who underlined how “even in the most difficult moments basketball clubs have always guaranteed sporting practice and aggregative moments to young athletes”.

In the room for the presentation, the mayor of Osimo, Michela Glorio, the deputy mayor with delegation to sport, Paola Andreoni, President Fip Marche Maurizio Biondini.
The sports clubs involved in the project, Robur Basket Osimo, to young Robur, Robur Family Osimo, Basket Auximum, MiniBasket Center Robur Osimo, Pro Basketball Osimo, Futura Basket Osimo Station and Asd Osimo Basket were present with them.
