Peace made between Enrico Mentana, Lilli Gruber and Urbano Cairo? It would seem so. After high-voltage live TV broadcasts and subtle but powerful digs, it seems that the two prominent faces of La7 and the company’s top management have found a way to mend the rift and restore calm. “I have shared the line and rules of my company for sixteen years”, declared the presenter of Otto e mezzo after the network’s official note in which the two professionals were invited to maintain mutual respect and protect the value of teamwork. The director of the news, however, signed, adding from her study: “We don’t accuse anyone, we don’t want to be accused.” Today, however, Urbano Cairo has returned to the issue to definitively put an end to this feud.

Yesterday “I made a statement in which I reaffirmed the principles that are important to us and I was pleased that they both signed it. I didn’t even speak to them, it’s not that I did moral suasion. They both agreed, so I’m very happy with that.” Urbano Cairo, president of the Torino Football Club, Cairo Communication and RCS MediaGroup, said this on the sidelines of the presentation of the Milano Civili Week regarding the dispute between Lilli Gruber and Enrico Mentana.
