Don’t think it’s some sort of Italia’s got talent or similar, because Milly Carlucci assures: “this is not a project that has already been done in other countries, it does not exist in the world”. L’Talent Catcher it is an absolute novelty from Rai. A long adventure in five live episodes, in the early evening of Friday on Rai 1, from May 10th until the final scheduled forJune 8th.
Talents from all over the world and of every type will arrive in the studio: singers, acrobats, magicians and so on and so forth. They will present themselves, but without a performance, with a summary sheet designed to convince one of the talent scouts to choose them. Exceptional talent scout: Teo Mammuccari, Mara Maionchi, the comedian Francesco Paolantoni, Sabrina Salerno and Wanda Nara. The “talent catchers” will then have to convince the audience at home to vote for their favorite on social media.
The choice of the winner will therefore be in the hands of the public, but also in that of one stellar jury, who will monitor and judge the actions of talents and talent scouts. It’s about Simona Ventura (who doesn’t stop despite health problems), Francesco Facchinetti And Flavio Insinna. “We want to propose something different that will surprise” Carlucci explained in the press conference. “Will he pay or not pay? We don’t know” but certainly, the presenter is more than confident.
Milly Carlucci: loyal to Rai but no Sanremo
A new adventure for Milly Carlucci, but always and only on the same network: “I love this company,” she declared, “I was born there, I grew up there, I had my great talent catcher who was Renzo Arbore. So, I am and remain a Rai character”. And she is not worried about the talent drain taking place at the national broadcaster: “On television, arrivals and departures are something that happens every year, on all channels. What matters in teams is the ability to identify new players to fill important roles. And Rai always does this.”
And Carlucci is convinced that Rai will even replace it without problems Amadeus (just landed on the Nine): “I am very sorry because Amadeus is someone I respect, who I love and with whom I have worked. He is an extraordinary character who has demonstrated great ability. But Rai’s ability is to create teams suitable even for moments of difficulty, to move forward and find new solutions. He lavishes praise on national television, but it doesn’t seem willing to take on the burden of the Sanremo Festival on its shoulders left orphaned by Ama: “It’s one thing to lead it, as I did in ’92 just one evening, with Pippo Baudo, it’s another thing to be the artistic director. Between dancing with the Stars and the spring program, I’m already busy all year. The way I am, I can’t fit another thing in there. If not, when do I sleep?”.
