The engines are warming up in preparation for theTalent Catcher, a new program hosted by Milly Carlucci, which will debut tonight, Friday 10 May, in prime time on Rai 1. Exhibitions and performances by artists will be broadcast live from the Rai Auditorium of the Foro Italico from today and for another four evenings coming from all over the world. The talent show final is scheduled for Saturday 8 June.
How L’AcchiappaTalenti works: the format
Teo Mammucari, Francesco Paolantoni, Mara Maionchi, Sabrina Salerno and Wanda Nara will be the five talent catchers who will have to choose the best artists based on their affinities and their intuition as talent scouts. To do so they will have to strike with a hammer as happens in auctions so as to “catch” the competitors in the shortest possible time: in fact they will only have the minutes of the presentation clip available plus the initial 15 seconds of each performance. The talents are either already known to the public, appearing on television all over the globe, or they are totally unknown. The audience at home through the show’s social media accounts and also the jury will vote for the best talent catcher. In fact, from this perspective it will also be essential the final speech that every talent catcher will have to do to promote their artists.
The jury
The jurors ofTalent Catcher Of Milly Carlucci they will be Simona Ventura, president of the jury who already has experience in talent shows such as X Factor; Flavio Insinnaactor, presenter and former juror of The Masked Singer And Francesco Facchinetti. The latter was the first to lead X Factor from 2008 to 2010. He is also a true talent scout, in fact he has discovered artists of the caliber of Irama, Mr. Rain, Frank Matano, Rocco Hunt, Fedez and Emis Killa.
The new Rai 1 program consists of two runs: in the last one the provisional ranking will be drawn up after which the talent catchers will have to make an essential choice. One will be proposed to them exchange in the dark between two artists: it will be only he (or she) who prefers to continue with his own talent or to change it for another whose identity he does not know. The talent catcher who triumphs in each episode will be able to bring their performer to the episode on Saturday 8 June, thus playing for the chance to win the grand final.
