“The Company sent a complaint to the journalist Serena Bortone – explained Sergio in the Supervisory Commission –, as happened in other similar cases, for the post published on her social profiles at 8.30am on Saturday 20 April in violation of the law. which prohibits any employed or self-employed Rai worker from issuing public statements or in any case made in public contexts such as social networks on company activities, news and events”.

Sergio’s intervention provoked a reaction from Marinella Soldi who declared that she thought differently than the CEO.
A remote back-and-forth took place between the two managers.
“I don’t think the disciplinary proceedings against Serena Bortone will do justice of the affair, nor is it good for Rai”, claimed the Rai president.
“What was reported by the CEO Supervisory Commission he partially recounts what happened, without mentioning any significant aspects. Without prejudice to company policies, the so-called Scurati case is still subject to checks by the company Internal Audit management, for which the President has the powers”, added Soldi.
“The draft results of this audit were seen by both me and the CEO and highlight a much more complex situation than that described by the CEO, which requires a more complete approach,” concluded the manager.
