Reality is on the verge of collapsing: and where the recent One Piece 1114 spoilers have revealed fundamental information about Nika and Joy Boy, the integral leaks emerged in these hours on the new chapter of the manga Eiichiro Oda they mostly shift attention to the fate of the world: now on the verge of succumbing to an apocalyptic event.

As one might expect, the One Piece chapter 1114 starts from the revelations on which the previous issue of the work ended: filtered through the reactions (shocked, surprised?) of various characters located in various corners of the world, including Akainu (located in the Navy Headquarters) Pauly (on Water Seven) until you get to Shiraoshi (present on Fishman Island) and the same Doflamingo, still locked up in Impel Down. And the villain gives life to an important conversation with Magellan here, with the former Shichibukai uttering some truly enlightening words, especially for the naturalness with which they shed light on the real meanings behind the Vegapunk message. “With a rise of only 5 meters in sea level, most of the world’s islands it will be submerged! here exclaims the prisoner to his jailer. “It is necessary then that we go ‘higher’, right?”.

At the very moment in which Doflamingo utters this enigmatic (and crucial?) line, the chapter cuts to Egghead’s plots, with the Gorosei deciding, once and for all, to obliterate the island, in order to shield the planetary diffusion of the scientist’s message. But every attempt by the Stars appears futile, and nothing really seems to stop the course of the broadcast: to the point that Vegapunk, in order to prove in the eyes of the bystanders the veracity of his statementsdelves into a dazzling prediction, which citizens all over the world have just had proof of: that is, that sea levels will rise by about a meter above the usual parameters.

At this point it is clear to everyone that the information conveyed by the doctor is not only reliable, but even “messianic”: but before moving on to the second “phase” of the announcement, Oda cuts to the actions of Saturnwhich enters (literally) inside the Mother Flame, to be understood here as a tiny underwater flame, contained inside an enormous tank, similar to the one in which Vegapunk’s brain was located in the last chapter of the manga. While the Gorosei urge their colleague to find – and destroy – the original source of the transmission, the scientist continues with his speech, finally touching the crux of the matter. “I trace my first sin to the need to identify a source of unlimited energy, which led me to flying too close to the sun” the doctor begins here, with One Piece definitively confirming the link between the history of Vegapunk and the myth of Icarus. “I, then, studied all the books written by Ohara researchers, and continued to search for the truth about the Poneglyphs, even in the face of the World Government’s prohibitions: and this is my second sin!.

According to the leaks, the mangaka constantly intersects the scientist’s words with the fight between Luffy (assisted by Brogi and Dori) e Warcury, who seems completely intangible to the blows of the pirate and the two giants. And at the moment in which the Straw Hat tries to escape Gorosei’s invectives, Vegapunk makes the bystanders aware of an epochal revelation, destined to reshape all the assumptions we have formulated over time about past history of the world of One Piece. “History is a fairy tale!” the scientist declares here. “And while I only know a portion of what really happened during the One Hundred Years of Darkness, what I’m about to tell you is theabsolute reality of the facts”.

Before continuing with the discussion, the chapter breaks momentarily on one spectacular Luffy splash page, here intent on hitting Warcury with a giant-sized fist, followed by the scientist’s final words. “You know, the protagonist of this story is a man born and lived 900 years ago, coming from an incredibly advanced civilization, and capable of innervating his body with the properties of rubber, in a similar way to Nika, the Sun God of Elbaf.

At this point Oda, according to the leaks, dedicates thelast page of the chapter to a comparison (symbolic and visual) between the legendary figure cited by the scientist and the one who is destined to embody his essence, namely Luffy, to the point that in the very moment in which Vegapunk reveals the name of the “first pirate in history to take to the sea” – that means Joy Boy – the mangaka cuts to the close-up of Cappello di Paglia: thus certifying a metaphorical connectionthrough which all the future destinies of the world will pass, and of which we will have to observe the results in two weeks, since between chapter 1114 and number 1115 of the manga there will be a new break.

What fun! it is one of the best sellers on today
