We are just a few hours away from the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024, taking place at the Malmö Arena with Petra Mede and Malin Åkerman in the role of presenters.
On the eurovisionworld.com scoreboard there are some significant changes, at 12.15pm today, compared to what we saw yesterday.
Eurovision 2024: Croatia on the run
The first: Croatia extends, and clearly. Baby Lasagna, with “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”, is now positioned at a 32% chance of making it, a percentage that could increase even further after the first semi-final. Instead, the whole discussion related to the second semi-final will have to be evaluated, which traditionally shuffles many cards on the table. For this reason, the current 16% of Nemofor Switzerland with “The Code”, will need to be carefully evaluated.
Eurovision 2024: Italy and Ireland go up
The second one: Angelina Mango, although remaining at 12%, rises to third place. Italy, competing with “Boredom”, in fact exploits the net drop in preferences for Ukraine. Given the trends, it is possible to think that some of the preferences for alyona alyona and Jerry Heilwith “Teresa & Maria”, have moved on to Croatia or to another notable surprise.
It’s about Ireland: the power of the performance of Bambie Thug in “Doomsday Blue”, evoked by all the news emerging from the host city, means that she is now granted a 6% chance corresponding to fifth place. Perhaps we are a little too optimistic in this case, but it is reasonable to think that Ireland is aiming for the best result since Jedward’s “Lipstick” (2011). Nothing else of note to report above.
Eurovision 2024: the first semi-final
And there isn’t much to note even in the variations on the first semi-final. Indeed, there is something: the net rise in Portugal’s prices, a sign that “Grito” of Yolanda it now seems to have emerged from possible areas of difficulty. According to bets, the duel for tenth place will be between Serbia and Australia, but, as we know, nothing can ever be ruled out at Eurovision.
