New rumors suggest that Apple aims to maintain an aggressive price for the next one Fourth generation iPhone SEdespite rumors of significant upgrades.
According to the Revegnus leak, the cost launch in the United States could remain unchanged compared to the current model, 429 dollars (549€ in Italy), with a maximum increase of 10%. In both cases, Apple’s goal would be to stay below $500.
Rumor has it that the SE 4 will have a similar design to the standard iPhone 14, with the abandonment of Touch ID and the Home button in favor of Face ID and Dynamic Island. Again according to rumors, the device could boast an iPhone SE 4 instead of the LCD, with a increase in size from 4.7 to 6.1 inches. Among other possible innovations, a USB-C port and an Action Key.
The OLED panels for the iPhone SE 4 should have a lower cost than those of the iPhone 15, since they would be “legacy” components already used in the iPhone 13 and 14. This choice would avoid suppliers additional investments in research and development. It seems that display manufacturers have been competing to win the supply since last August.
The third-generation model of the iPhone SE was released in March 2022, so there is likely to be strong demand for a new model that includes some of the latest features from Apple’s flagship models.
