The accident occurred between a 500 Abarth, with Dimitri and the other three boys on board, and a 500 A head-on collision at high speed with the car with the 4 boys overturned and ended up in the center of the road. The boy had participated in the first edition of College in 2017, the Rai 2 reality show, based on a French format, in which a group of boys and girls are sent to live in a boarding school living in another era, specifically the first edition was set in 1960. Dimitri was a positive boy, polite and collaborative with everyone, he was expelled after having defended another teammate. Born in Ukraine, Dimitri was adopted by a family from Villa Literno when he was only 5 years old. Fans of the program remember him for his beauty which made him much loved by girls. Professor Andrea Maggi, in the teaching staff of the program since the first edition, recently also in the cast of Gorgeous Frame, the boy recalled with a letter published on Instagram. “It’s the kind of post I never wanted to write” wrote the professor. Maggi recalling an episode from that edition which occurred during a trip outside the walls of the College. “You were real pests but during that bonfire something changed. Do you remember when Veronica read her poem? Do you remember her confusion in front of a hard and complicated world? At the end she burst into tears and you looked at her with a look full of compassion. I said that life should not be lived superficially, like water skiing, but by going deep, like divers do, to explore the darkest depths; because that is where we find ourselves hit, because then you approached Veronica and hugged her, like many others of your companions.” The professor then closes the message by saying: “We who are still here must now increase our efforts so that tragedies like yours never happen again.”
Always in the night between Saturday and Sunday in the province of Caserta another accident occurred on state road 7. A car with two brothers on board apparently overturned several times and one of the two boys was thrown out of the passenger compartment and died, ending up on an embankment. Another car was involved in the accident.
