Dyson has unveiled the new Dyson WashG1 floor cleaner which will expand the company’s range of products designed for home cleaning. Long considered the market reference point for dry cleaning, Dyson is looking with interest at the household products segment. wet cleaning.
After introducing the possibility of washing floors with the V15 vacuum cleaner (with the addition of the Submarine head), Dyson is now focusing heavily on the new Dyson WashG1 which will challenge the floor cleaners of competing brands.
Dyson WashG1: technical characteristics
The new Dyson WashG1 is equipped with a system consisting of two microfibre rollerswith 64 thousand filaments per square centimeter, which, after being soaked with clean water and any detergents, rotating they wash the floor, ensuring uniform hydration along its entire length. The WashG1 rollers are able to clean and, at the same time, collect dirt, dust and various debris on the floor.
For this reason, Dyson’s first floor cleaner does not use a suction system. The dirty water and the various debris collected end up in the appropriate tray where they are then separated using a system of filters and a pump. This way, once the cleaning is finished, the collected debris can be easily thrown away while the dirty water can be disposed of. The Dyson WashG1 is equipped with a self-cleaning systemwhich can be activated once the appliance is installed on the charging base.
There is nothowever, a system of automatic drying. Dyson recommends carrying out a manual wash of the rollers every 2-3 sessions of use, extracting this component, washing it and leaving it to dry in the air and naturally. The new Dyson WashG1 does not include any particular smart features, cannot be paired with an app and cannot connect to your home Wi-Fi. At the top, however, there is a small display, with the possibility for the user to manage some functions.
In particular, three modes of use are available with the possibility of activating, when necessary, the mode Boost which allows, for short cleaning sessions, to increase the speed of the rollers, going from the standard value of 250 revolutions per minute to 290 revolutions per minute. According to data provided by the company, Dyson WashG1, thanks to its 1 liter clean water tankit can clean up to 290 square meters with a’autonomy of 35 minutes.
Dyson WashG1: price and availability
The new Dyson WashG1 will not be available immediately: the floor cleaner, in fact, will arrive on the market at the end of the summer, during the month of September 2024. The selling price, however, has already been set. Dyson will ship the WashG1 with a list price of 699 euros.
