the walkway damaged by the flood

One year after the flood, the footbridge over the Conca river in Misano which is located downstream of the dam, heavily damaged by the flood and unused since then, will be the subject of major maintenance to make it safe to be used by walkers and cyclists again. The cost of the works amounts to 150,000 euros, fully financed with funds requested from the Extraordinary Commissioner for Reconstruction as part of the plan for interventions to ensure safety and restore the viability of road infrastructures. The walkway, made of iron and wood, connects the two banks of the Conca nature trails. The maintenance intervention will be carried out by the municipality of Misano Adriatico with the approval of the municipality of San Giovanni in Marignano. Again in the context of the damage caused by the flood last May, the interventions have been concluded restoration of EcoVie routes, which involved the arrangement of the funds and ditches, the regulation of the water and the safety of the routes. Carried out with the Municipality’s own resources, the intervention cost approximately 100,000 euros. The completion of the works allows from today the lifting of the ban on the use of the nature trail, limited to the Misano area, which had been ordered by the Province of Rimini following the flood events.
