Weather alert in Friuli Venezia Giulia,
Rain and strong storms arriving in Friuli Venezia Giulia, where civil protection has issued an orange weather alert valid from tomorrow until 12pm on Friday 17 May.
The current situation sees an Atlantic depression approaching from the west, bringing with it a flow of humid and unstable southerly currents that will pour over the region. This phenomenon is destined to affect the entire region during Thursday, with particular intensity in the early hours of the morning.
The weather forecast for Thursday 16 May indicates the possibility of stationary rain, accompanied by intense or very intense thunderstorms, especially in the areas of the Pordenone plain, Udine and the Carnic Prealps. This thunderstorm precipitation is expected to continue in a subdued and intermittent manner throughout the day, but it is a new intensification is expected in the late afternoon and until the nightwhen locally strong thunderstorms will be possible, more likely on the plains, coast and Pre-Alps.
