Lots of events in the city again this weekend in the company of the young people of FAI and among archery challenges. Many people at the Giardini Aperti initiative, a regional event dedicated to greenery, as part of the campaign. Yesterday the volunteers of the Fai Giovani Group of Ferrara accompanied tourists to discover a little-known corner of the city, a private and exclusive place, where architecture, history and environment are masterfully integrated. Doors open to the garden of the ‘La Vigna’ condominium, in via delle Erbe, a stone’s throw from Piazza Ariostea. It is a very attractive green area with an ancient history. It was in fact part of the complex of the Carthusian Convent, which was built in the mid-1400s at the behest of Duke Borso and the monks’ service rooms, now used as private homes, are still visible today. The absolute protagonist, the visitors were amazed, was the garden. During the stage, the plant species found there, as well as cultivation methods and criteria, were illustrated. It was a pleasant walk in a green oasis in the middle of the urban context. “A big surprise”, commented a tourist.

Also yesterday morning, at Massari Park, the “Tenzone courteous City of Ferrara” took place, the first stage of the historic Fidasc Coni circuit, which together with other cities throughout the national territory make up the Italian championship. A challenge between 70 historic archers from all over Italy who competed in competitions shooting three arrows in each of the 16 pitches. A success between sport and tradition for the “Filippo degli Ariosti” Company of archers and crossbowmen presided over by Gianni Soffritti.
