Everything is ready for Hellas Verona – Turin: mathematical salvation for the yellow-blues in case of victory.

We’re here now, soon Hellas Verona could be mathematically safe after a rather troubled season, both on the corporate and sporting side. The yellow-blues go into the Bentegodi match, 3pm, against Torino, with 34 points. One more than Cagliari, two more than Empoli (on the pitch against Lazio) and Frosinone, four on Udinese, third from last.

But the math is simple: if Hellas wins against Torino, they are safe, whatever result the direct competitors bring home, they will inevitably have to steal points from each other in the direct clashes next Sunday (Sassuolo-Cagliari and Udinese-Empoli). If, however, Hellas Verona draws against the Granata, they would be safe in the event of a draw Sassuolo (on the pitch at 3pm in Genoa) and Udinese’s defeat in Lecce (match being played Monday evening), while a draw between Udinese and Lecce, with Sassuolo failing to win, would bring the gialloblù at least to the eventual play-off.

If Hellas against Torino should instead unfortunately losewell in that case the calculations would all have to be redone.
