At least 7 people have died following the collapse of a portion of a ten-storey building in Belgorod, on the border with Ukraine. Moscow accuses Kiev of bombing the area

A residential building partially collapsed in Belgorod, Russia near the border with Ukraine, after an alleged shelling by Kiev’s forces. According to media reports, there were seven people dead and at least 15 injured.
“The city of Belgorod and the Belgorod district were subjected to massive shelling by Ukrainian forces. UA grenade hit an apartment building on Kharkiv Hillthe entire entrance from the tenth to the ground floor collapsed,” wrote Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on his official Telegram channel.
The Russian Defense Ministry, reported by the Tass news agency, blamed Kiev for the bombing of Belgorod and said it had shot down six Tochka-U missiles and six projectiles from the Vilkha and Vampire multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In a video posted on Telegram by channel 112, part of the building can be seen collapsing while rescuers were at work. It is not yet clear whether this is when the first casualties were reported or if there are other deaths or injuries.
Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the incident.
