It was held at Monteriggione (SI), at the headquarters ofNational Association “City of Oil”a long and important meeting between the Director Antonio Balenzano and a delegation from the Municipality of San Demetrio Coronecomposed of the Mayor Ernesto Madeoby the Deputy Mayor Giuseppe Sangermano and by the Councillor Emanuele D’Amico.
The meeting was strongly supported by Mayor Madeo, having recently taken over from the city councilor Salvatore Mauro, who had held the position previously. The change occurred following City Council Resolution no. 50 of 30 December 2023, given that no one, until the meeting in the association, had been able to illustrate what the functions of the Association were and what the advantages were for the Institution and the citizens, despite the fact that the Municipality paid annually the membership fee since 2018.
Director Balenzano kindly welcomed Mayor Madeo and the accompanying administrators, declaring himself pleased to finally be able to receive a representation from the Municipality on site. The director himself then explained to the participants what the tasks and objectives of the Association are, focusing on the potential that it can have for the Municipality of San Demetrio Corone and for his fellow citizens.
Starting from consultancy and assistance in the drafting of national and European tenders, through ministerial recognitions, certifications, conferences and training courses, up to the drafting of projects for young people to be implemented with the school, as well as thematic cultural events and much more .
Balenzano anticipated the upcoming initiatives and events: among these, by virtue of the successful outcome of the meeting, it was decided to include a series of meetings and initiatives to also be held in San Demetrio, between the end of June and the middle of July, in which, in addition to the Director himself, the national, regional and provincial leaders of “City of Oil”.
A series of events in which millers and producers, but also restaurateurs and local traders will be able to participate, to provide training and plan targeted initiatives to be carried out together with the Administration.
