The Liceo Campanella participated in the event “Aiace and Hippolytus: the streets of the text”, the eighth meeting of Classics’ R-Evolution studies, a project of the Department of Ancient and Modern Civilizations of the University of Messina.
The reading path, promoted in collaboration with various delegations of the Italian Association of Classical Culture and with the patronage of INDA, has as its aim the investigation of classical texts, from their literary creation to the forms and motivations of their ancient and modern, manifested through iconography, filming, rewriting, filmography, staging.
Prof. Alessandro Albanese, high school teacher, in his speech on the tragedy “Ippolito” by Euripides was supported by Giorgia Albanese, Stefania Calabrò, Rosalinda Doldo, Letizia Foti, Marianna Manti, Giovanna Montoli, Chiara Spadaro, from the 4th A class , the students took care of the graphic project and the reading of some passages from Euripides’ Hippolytus.
The IVD students were prepared by the teacher Claudia Neri; Caridi Dario Rocco, Lo Presti Carlo, Malaspina Giulia, Manti Noemi, Maressa Melania, Mollica Lavinia, Morabito Ginevra Maria, Morace Anna Maria, Occhiuto Sara, Ovsiienko Khrystyna, Passalia Sara, Romeo Alice, Scurtul Maria, Spinelli Barbara spoke.
The students’ commitment to studying and presenting the contents is significant and they will have the opportunity to attend the tragic performances in Syracuse in the coming weeks.
Participation in the meeting constituted a stage of the PCTO carried out by the fourth classes of the School with DICAM UNIME.
