In the afternoon at approximately 4.30 pm, the operations room of the Crotone fire brigade was alerted to a road accident on the SS 107 km 124 in the municipality of Scandale. When they arrived on site there were two cars involved, a Mercedes and a Fiat Uno.
The intervention of the firefighters led to the extraction of the driver of the 1941 Fiat Uno CC stuck between the torn sheets of metal, who was suddenly extracted and handed over to the paramedics for transport to hospital, while the driver of the 1971 Mercedes BF with a little girl from 2013 unharmed, all originally from Rocca di Neto. During the rescue operations, state road 107 was partially blocked to allow the rescue operations. 118 and the Police were on site to investigate the case.
