Car-motorcycle collision, deputy mayor involved. Moments of apprehension, in the late afternoon today, Friday 10 May 2024, in Calolziocorte due to an accident involving a car and a moped on which a 14-year-old young man was travelling. The deputy mayor of Calolziocorte was driving the car, Aldo Valsecchi.

The episode happened shortly after 4pm in Largo Garibaldi, a stone’s throw from the town hall: “I was traveling in the direction of the traffic lights in the center – says Valsecchi – and, near the intersection with Via Fratelli Calvi I moved towards my left to turn into the street with the column stopped. At that moment, when I started the maneuver, a motorbike coming from the same direction hit the car. At that point I got out and asked the boy not to move while waiting for help.”
An ambulance from the Calolziocorte Rescue Volunteers was immediately brought to the scene under yellow code, which stabilized the boy and transported him under green code, non-urgent, to the hospital for the necessary investigations. Alerted by the deputy mayor, the local police also intervened to manage the traffic that was created on the Calolzio artery.
