Women’s volleyball Serie C Play Off – First leg Quarter finals
LIVES INFISSI BASTIA STRUGGLES BUT PASSES SCHOOL VOLLEY PERUGIA
In the first leg of the quarter-finals of the play-offs of the women’s Serie C volleyball championship, Abita Infissi Bastia beat School Volley Perugia 2-3 away with the following partials: 25-21, 13-25 , 25-23, 21-25, 13-15.
In this match, Abita Infissi Bastia had to unleash all its pride to overcome the young Perugians who fought until the end.
It was once again demonstrated that the playoffs are something different from the regular season.
Balanced start with the bastiole who after half the set moved ahead by a few points, prompt reaction from the hosts who overtook and went 1-0
In the second set, Abita Infissi immediately started strong and created the difference which became more and more marked and was 1-1. Third set that travels on the edge of balance with the two teams alternating ahead in the score but it is the local teams that come out on top.
Upon returning to the field, the two teams begin to feel the weight of what is at stake and the quality of the game suffers. At the end of the set, Bastia finds the spark to postpone the outcome to the tie break.
Fifth set played point to point with the Perugia ahead 8-7 at the change of court. The Biancocelesti did not give up and in an exciting finale they won the match respecting the prediction.
Time to reorganize ideas and recover energy and we immediately return to the field for the decisive return match for passage to the semi-finals. The event for all enthusiasts is for Saturday 11 May at 6.00 pm at the Pierantonio municipal gym.
