OPPO brings the new Oppo A60 to Italy: it is a new low-end smartphone that arrives on the market with a price of less than 200 euros
There is something new for the smartphone family of OPPO in Italy. The Chinese brand, in fact, has announced the debut of the new one OPPO A60, the latest addition to the company’s Serie A. It is a low-end model that will try to carve out its space on the market by targeting users looking for a smartphone to less than 200 euros.
Oppo A60: technical characteristics
The OPPO A60 spec sheet includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, one of the chips that make up the low end of the Qualcomm range. Made with a 6nm manufacturing process, this chip is equipped with an octa-core CPU with four Kryo 265 Gold cores at 2.4 GHz and four Kryo 265 Silver cores at 1.9 GHz, an Adreno 610 GPU and integrates a 4G modem.
The battery is from 5,000 mAhwith 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging: to charge 50% of the battery, starting from a low battery condition, it takes 30 minutes. The smartphone is available in Italy in a single configuration, with 8 GB of RAM And 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The IPS LCD display has a diagonal of 6.67 inchesresolution HD+ (720 x 1,604 pixels) and maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz. There is the function SplashTouch which allows, thanks to a special algorithm, to correctly detect the touch even when the display is wet.
The photographic section includes a dual rear cameras, with a 50 Megapixel main sensor and a 2 Megapixel sensor for macros. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera. Video recording, with both the main rear camera and the front camera is limited to 1080p and 30 fps.
The audio compartment consists of two stereo speakers, with Ultra Volume function. OPPO A60 can take advantage of Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 in addition to 4G (the Qualcomm chip does not allow the use of the 5G network). The operating system is Android 14 with ColorOS 14. According to the company’s update policy, the smartphone should receive only one major update plus security patches for 3 years from launch.
The design of the back cover recalls that of other recent OPPO productions. The smartphone measures 165.7 x 76 x 7.7mm with a weight of 186 grams.
Oppo A60: price and availability
The new Oppo A60 is available in Italy from this week. The smartphone can be purchased with the possibility of choosing between two colors: Ribble Blue or Midnight Purple. The list price is 199.99 euros and the only version available in Italy is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. To become truly competitive, considering the chip used, the new OPPO A60 will have to drop in price significantly. The smartphone can already be purchased through the official OPPO store and will also be on sale through partner reseller stores, such as Amazon.
