The eleventh edition of the Theater in class project promoted by Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione ERT Teatro Nazionale and «il Resto del Carlino» with the contribution of Conad closed this morning (Friday 10 May) as part of the National School Theater Festival: the Awards ceremony took place at 11.00 am at the Bonci Theater in the presence of the Councilor for Cultural Services and Inclusion of the Municipality of Cesena Carlo Verona, Enrica Mancini representing Conad, Emanuele Chesi, editor-in-chief of the Cesena editorial office of «il Resto del Carlino», Alex Giuzio of the critical collective «Altre Veloicità» (who conducted the writing workshops in schools) and Valentina Falorni (coordinator of the cultural and local activities area of ​​ERT / Teatro Nazionale). The students themselves read the texts written.

180 young people were involved in the production of journalistic pieces on the shows of the Cesena theater season, published by «il Resto del Carlino» in 8 dedicated pages from 25 November 2023 to 13 April 2024. The “Righi” Scientific High School of Cesena and of Bagno di Romagna, the “Garibaldi/Da Vinci” Agricultural Institute and the “Monti” Classical High School of Cesena, the Aeronautical Institute and the “Canova” Artistic and Musical High School of Forlì, both with two class groups.

Among the 8 participating school groups, the Jury, composed of Luciana Berretti (former teacher), Emanuele Chesi (editor-in-chief of the Cesena editorial office of «il Resto del Carlino»), Emanuela Dallagiovanna (Ert Foundation press office – Teatro Bonci), Michele Di Giacomo (actor, director and artistic director of the Fu Me Lecite Visioni festivals), Enrica Mancini (CIA Conad Training Office) awarded the first prize to the “Augusto Righi” Scientific High School of Cesena (which reviewed the show Seagull Dreams), the second prize at the Garibaldi/Da Vinci Agricultural Institute of Cesena (which reviewed the show Capital. A book we have not yet read) and the third at the Liceo Artistico e Musicale Canova in Forlì (which reviewed the show Maria Stuarda), evaluating, according to the criteria set out in the competition regulations, journalistic effectiveness, the ability to read theatrical language, the originality and depth of the reflections aroused by the shows.

The first-placed Institute received a Bluetooth speaker, while all the students of the texts classified in the first three places will receive free 3-entry cards for the next theater season. The three institutes also received the plaques offered by «il Resto del Carlino».
