It is Dinamo Gorizia who wins the title of Champion of the Serie C Unica Fvg: 66 – 68 the final in Game Two on the Cordenons pitch, at the end of a more than hard-fought match against a team, that of Celotto, who showed proof of great grit, compactness and quality.
At the Cordenons Palasport, there were great opportunities for a match that started off brilliantly for the hosts: Gorizia, without the injured Luis, was held to just 14 points scored and in general it seems that Cordenons could have the clear way to try to send the series to the “beautiful” stage. Di Prampero, with his talent, placed a couple of important baskets in the second half, so much so that Cordenons ended the second period ahead by eight, with a score of 43 – 35.
In the third half, however, Scutiero opened in a great way: the point guard born in ’92 repaired almost all the gaps at the start of the second half, and the match returned to equilibrium. Dinamo has the strength to get back ahead, 50 – 53, when the siren sounds for the third quarter: in the last quarter, the “captain’s heart” of Siro Braidot seems to be able to definitively turn the match in Gorizia’s favor. Four bombs from the winger born in 1986 put Dinamo at +9 with two minutes to go: game over? Absolutely not, because Cordenons compacts, makes a great comeback and manages to get within two. Last action, ball to Di Prampero to look for the winning triple: his conclusion, however, ends on the rim and therefore the match ends at 66 – 68, handing the C Unica playoffs to Dinamo.
Goriziana Caffè, in this way, finishes in first place and promotion to Serie B will be played with the play-off, played over two matches, against the first-placed C Unica Sardegna: first leg on 8 June, return on 15th in Gorizia. Match that will be played on basket difference: the name of Colli and his teammates’ challenger, who in the meantime are celebrating the regional title, is still to be understood.
