Savona. The Young Democrats of Savona express their “deep disappointment and indignation at the recent accusations of corruption aimed at the President of the Region Giovanni Toti”.
“We cannot tolerate that those who are called to lead our region are involved in practices that are so harmful to democracy and the common good. Despite the serious accusations, Giovanni Toti has expressed his intention not to resign, demonstrating total contempt for public ethics and respect for institutions. This attitude is unacceptable and represents an insult to all the citizens who elected him.”
“We therefore strongly ask for the immediate resignation of Giovanni Toti from the position of regional president and to go to elections. It is essential that politics is guided by people of integrity and responsibility, and Toti’s permanence in power undermines the credibility of the institutions and seriously damages the image of politics itself.”
“We invite all citizens and responsible political forces to join us in demanding moral and transparent behavior from our representatives. Corruption has no place in our society and those who are guilty of it must take responsibility.”
