“Inclusion takes flight.” The title of the event which will take place in Calatafimi Segesta, in the Sasi district in the premises of the “Sentiero per la vita” assisted therapeutic community of Calatafimi next Monday starting at 9.30.
For the first time the gates of the structure will be opened to the Calatafimi school group to create a day dedicated to inclusion through the construction of many kites which will then be flown high into the sky. The work was directed by Ignazio Billera, patron of the international event which takes place in San Vito Lo Capo every year. The metaphor of the kites reminds us that “inclusion – as the organizers of the event underline – requires a collective commitment; like kites rising into the sky, inclusion also requires a solid foundation and careful guidance.” Together with guests from the community, the children will have the opportunity to build their own kite and work together and this is an opportunity to learn from each other, share their experiences and develop new skills.
