After Honda MM93 he does not rule out another sacrifice

The eight-time world champion is returning to taste the air of high rankings this year astride the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 and is aiming for an official bike for 2025.
The official Ducati team, however, is sponsored by Red Bull’s number one rival, Monster Energy, so a possible arrival in the factory team would mean for Marquez the sacrifice of the Red Bull sponsor as has already happened for Enea Bastianini. The eight-time world champion hinted that he would be willing to sacrifice Red Bull after having already said goodbye to Honda in order to win: “In life sometimes you have to make decisions that you don’t want to make. But we are all here, whoever you are, sponsor, brand, factory, to win and to win you must always look for the best – Marquez’s words reported by the Spanish newspaper AS – logically, before making a decision, I take everything into consideration, not just one thing or the other. Then you put everything on the scale and see which way it goes. The most important thing is always to win. Sure, you can win, but you can’t win in just one way. You have to put everything on the scales and evaluate. Nobody is made of ice and everything weighs, but the main objective here, the one that weighs the most, is to win.”
Also Jorge Martin he is a Red Bull branded rider, but Martin’s weight in the eyes of the energy drink giant is obviously less relevant than that of Marquez. For both, a possible move to KTM in the face of ‘defeat’ in the run-up to the official Ducati would be perfect given that the personal sponsor would coincide with that of the team. The solution that would satisfy everyone would be the promotion of Jorge Martin alongside Francesco Bagnaia, providing Marc Marquez with an official motorbike while remaining in the Gresini team, in order to allow the Catalan to continue to show off the Red Bull sponsor in his personal clothing.
