A tragic crash that ended the life of Agnese Brunelli, a 59-year-old from Verolanuova, married and mother of three children. It is what it is occurred yesterday afternoon on the Quinzanese provincial road, near the municipality of Bordolano, in the territory of the province of Cremona.
It was just after 5pm when the Opel driven by the Brescia woman who was proceeding towards Cremona, for reasons still being ascertained, was crashed into a tanker which was headed towards Brescia. The impact was extremely violent: there was nothing the woman could do. The driver of the heavy vehicle was uninjured.
The Cremona Fire Brigade intervened for the rescue together with the 118 personnel. The operations to extract the woman from the cockpit were complex. The Brescia 118 ambulance and the Orzinuovi Green Cross ambulance also intervened. It will be up to the Pizzighettone traffic police, coordinated by commander Ettore Guidone, to reconstruct the dynamics and above all the causes that led to the collision.
On the Provincial the traffic remained completely blocked in both directions at the bridge over the Oglio, towards Quinzano. Traffic returned to normal only after several hours, when the road was cleared of the damaged vehicles.
Agnese Brunelli was born in Manerbio in September 1964: a housewife, she lived in Verolanuova with her husband, a worker in a company in the town. The couple has three children: two boys and a girl.
The community of Verolanuova was incredulous and disconcerted and, having learned the news from social networks, expressed deep condolences for the woman’s passing.
