The Prosecutor’s Office opened a case and entered the grandmother of the suspect in the register of suspects Giada Paolellathe 8-year-old girl who died on the evening of last Tuesday 7 May, in the terrible accident that occurred in Clusone.
A file opened
The pm Raffaella Latorracaas reported today (Thursday 9 May) by Courier Bergamodecided not to carry out an autopsy on the little girl’s body, given that the causes of her death, which occurred instantly during the impact with the other car, are clear.
The fact that the grandmother, still hospitalized with a reserved prognosis in hospital, in serious conditions, has been registered in the file for injuries and manslaughter, would be a way to allow the woman to participate in any investigations that will be ordered in the future.
The reconstruction of the accident
The choice came following the first reconstruction of the incident carried out by the Clusone carabinieri, according to which it was the lady’s Seat Ibiza that left its lane, invading the opposite one and colliding with the BMW coming from the other side. A couple was on board, slightly injured, who said they found the other vehicle in front of them and were unable to do anything to avoid it.
The magistrate is also awaiting the toxicological tests, to which both drivers were subjected, while he is still evaluating whether it is appropriate to hear the victim’s little brother as a witness, David, operated on the femur. The grandchildren would have been in the back seats of the car, with their seat belts fastened, but it is not clear whether Giada was in a child seat. In any case, other elements will have to be collected before making further hypotheses.
