An explosion affected a house in Reggio Calabria. The event took place in the evening in via Verderame, Sbarre district. A fire brigade team quickly responded to the scene. At the moment the nature of the event is not understood. According to initial reports, the explosion may have been caused by a pocket of gas accumulated inside a room of a house on the ground floor. According to what has been learned, a person of Indian nationality was involved in the explosion, who independently left the house involved and was already transported to the Grand Metropolitan Hospital of Reggio Calabria. And he was slightly injured. The intervention of the firefighters was successful in extinguishing fires inside the house and making the site safe.
Following the explosion, doors and windows were blown out with objects being thrown outwards. As a precaution, the entire building was evacuated pending further technical-instrumental checks. The families found hospitality with relatives.
