A meeting to remember Pietro Dell’Anno, a lawyer and politician from Fasano who passed away last year.
“Pierino Dell’Anno the respectable socialist” is the title of the meeting promoted by the “Secondo Adamo Nardelli” Press Club of Fasano scheduled for Friday-Friday 10 May at 6.00 pm in the representative room of the Municipality of Fasano .
The greetings of the president Gino Bianco and the mayor, Francesco Zaccaria, will be followed by speeches by Nicola Latorre, former Senator of the Republic, Gianvito Mastroleo, a lawyer from Conversano and former leader of the Italian Socialist Party and Nicola Colonna, professor of History of Doctrine in Policies of the University of Bari, who will remember Pie-rino Dell’Anno (1939-2023) socialist politician, lawyer, who was also mayor of Fasano from 10 October to 22 December 1967, at the age of 28.
Active in the political and administrative life of the city until the beginning of the new millennium, he has always been a point of reference for the Fasano socialists; he was also a highly cultured connoisseur of the French language and literature; excellent orator, he is remembered for his activity as a lawyer in favor of the indigent and poor people whom he defended free of charge, “often even losing the costs” as the journalist Adamo Nardelli recalled in a medallion dedicated to him published by the monthly magazine city current affairs “Observatory”.
