REGGIO CALABRIA – 10 MAY 2024 – Fire brigade teams from the Reggio Calabria Command were busy from around 9.20 pm last night in via Verdirame, in the municipality of Reggio Calabria due to an explosion due to a gas leak from an LPG cylinder in a house located on the ground floor of a 4-storey building above ground.
A non-EU citizen who left the house independently was slightly injured and transported to the Gom for checks.
the intervention of the firefighters succeeded in extinguishing fires inside the house and making the site safe.
Following the explosion, doors and windows were blown out with objects being thrown outwards.
As a precaution, the entire building was evacuated pending further technical-instrumental checks.
The families found hospitality with relatives.
