Once again a Sicilian beach returns to be admitted into the world ranking which rewards the most beautiful, the The World’s 50 Best Beaches, compiled by TripAdvisor. It is the uncontaminated natural paradise ofRabbit Island, in Lampedusa. Globally, we find it in 50th position, while as regards Europe, it ranks11th place.
Here’s how it’s described: “What makes the beautiful Spiaggia dei Conigli so peaceful and perfect is that the beach and the islet are part of a protected natural reserve since 1995, which means sailing and scuba diving are prohibited. This magical beach is therefore accessible only by landwhich helps preserve their pristine conditions. With fine white sand and spectacular views of Rabbit Island, this beach is a true Italian paradise. The waters are calm and clear, thanks to the sheltered environment. Home to small colonies of rabbits and a famous population of sea turtles that nest here every year, it is a natural paradise. With an incredible climate, it’s great to visit all year round”.
The record of the Isola dei Conigli beach is not new: it had already been elected the best in Europe and Italy in 2014, 2015 and 2019. In 2013 it even reached the top, reaching the title of most beautiful beach in the world. Certainly an excellent reason to go and visit one of the most beautiful natural paradises that the Sicilian territory can boast.
