While his Iron fighter is preparing to be presented at the prestigious Market of the Cannes Film Festival 2024, the actor and martial arts champion Claudio Del Falco he has just finished filming his second feature film as director: The martial avenger. Feature film clearly intent on continuing the line already launched by the previous one and which the “Italian Jean Claude Van Damme” has always carried forward through the titles he stars in, from MMA Love never dies to Karate man: conceiving an action cinema that harks back to the mythical era of that which saw Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger as protagonists in the 1980s.
The martial avenger, the plot and the cast
Del Falco himself dresses in The martial avenger in the role of martial arts and MMA champion Claudio O’Connor, who, having killed an opponent in a clandestine fight, sees his life turned upside down when the rival gang, seeking revenge, kills his wife during a vengeful attack.
“I am very satisfied with this film and I believe I made the most of the budget made available to me by Minerva Pictures. This time I think I have achieved the quality of an overseas action movie” declares Del Falco.
The film, written by Del Falco together with Giuseppe M. Andreaniis produced by Saturnia pictures And One Seven Movies in collaboration with Roswell Film And Goldenhawks.
They are part of the cast Taiyo Yamanouchi, Michael Segal, Benny Green, Marlon Rosero Pasquel, Clara Guggiari, Mauro Aversano, Tania Sinurk, Alejandro Zumbi, Samuele Mecucci, Angelika Rychlak, Leandro Iagher and the multiple world karate champion Stefano Maniscalco.
The supervision of the film was entrusted to Salvatore Alongi and the executive production managed by Giuseppe M. Andreani in collaboration with Alberto De VeneziaWhile Matteo De Angelis took care of the photography, Tonino Di Giovanni the scenography, Fabio Loutfy assembly e Francesco Bureca the costumes.
